The main attractions of Italy

Italy – this country is a continuous inexhaustible landmark with a crazy amount of both historical and cultural masterpieces on its territory. Italy presents to amazed travelers innumerable delightful museums, stately cathedrals, gloomy medieval castles and wonderful palaces, and bus tours to Italy are very popular.
Sculpture and painting are unique “highlights” of Italian museums. The main “horse” of excursion Italy, to which, like bees on honey, fans of rest for the soul flock from many countries, unimaginable beauty and immense filling museums. Italy is really crowded with museums. Almost every building is a museum. Undoubtedly, most of them are concentrated in the most famous big cities: Rome, Milan, Naples, Turin, Venice, Florence. Of course, the main group of museums is dedicated to the very rich artistic heritage of Italy, because it is difficult to recall another country that was so generous to famous artists, sculptors and architects, like the Apennine Peninsula. So it is natural that all year round tourists from all over the world visit Italian museums in a continuous stream – the Vatican complex and the Uffizi Gallery, Brera Gallery, Borghese and Academy, Palazzo Pitti and Vecchio, Rafaeli Stanzi.
As for the cathedrals of Italy, there are a little more than museums, and almost every cathedral is a unique architectural monument and engineering idea, and just a beautiful building. A special Milan Duomo with slender Gothic towers resembling Poplars that seemed to merge into a holistic lace somewhere high in the sky. The Florentine basilica of Santa Croce is surprised by its colorful rainbow-colored stained-glass windows: the motley window “lollipops” seem to live their own life, and their characters with genuine interest look at the crowds at the bottom of tourists. For visits to cathedrals, museums and galleries, choose excursion tours to Italy.
Be sure to see the Italian castles – the places where innumerable tragedies developed – from Romeo and Juliet in historic Verona to the city of Paolo and Francesca, these castles are widely scattered throughout Italy. Everyone knows the Sforza Milan Castle (Castello Sforzesco), which is very much like the Moscow Kremlin. Now it is the pearl decoration of the Italian capital of fashion, and if you once come here for shopping, prematurely allocate an hour to inspect the castle. Also worth mentioning is the mysterious castle of Castel del Monte (province of Bari). Until today, it is not known exactly for what, by whom and when it was built, since this castle did not carry any defensive functions. The legends are shrouded and the Aragonese castle on the island of Ischia. It is almost in the sea, on a small island of volcanic lava. The Aragonese castle is a symbol of the island, it is depicted on all tourist souvenirs and promotional booklets. In hard times, the castle hid the inhabitants of Ischia behind its walls, and after dangerous events it was emptied. In later times, private individuals bought the castle, but despite this for tourist and cultural events it remains open all year round.
Well, how not to recall the resorts of Italy? Italy is considered to be one of the best beach holiday destinations in Europe, because this country is washed by seas from 3 sides, and the coastline stretches for several thousand kilometers. Among the most popular seaside resorts are Rimini on the Adriatic coast; Calabria (Ionian Sea); Costa Smeralda on the island of Sardinia. Those who wish to bask on the beaches of this country can advise a bus tour with a rest on the sea in Italy.
